Grammar-check assistance powered by the WriterHub API. Detects issues in any text area and shows inline guidance. WriterHub Grammar Companion ( writerhub.org ) brings WriterHub's AI grammar-checking API to every textarea, input, and content editable surface, automatic capture, analysis, and inline suggestions wherever you write online. The service worker locally verifies that your text is English before securely sending it to WriterHub’s API endpoint. Pause or resume assistance at any time via the popup or options page, and choose whether auto-check should debounce while you type or only run on demand. Once a check is complete, a floating badge shows your score and opens a drawer with issue-by-issue guidance so you can apply fixes without leaving the page. Key features: Works everywhere you write by tracking every textarea, search box, URL field, and contenteditable region for changes. Debounced auto-check keeps guidance current as you type, and you can switch to manual runs with a tap when you want more control. Inline badge plus a suggestion drawer deliver your WriterHub score and recommendations directly on the page, no new tab required. Quick popup controls and a minimalist options page let you toggle the assistant or auto-check globally in a couple of clicks. Built-in English language detection runs locally before any API call, so non-English snippets are skipped rather than transmitted.
