Automatically checks the URLs you visit with the Blue Lantern Security URL Detonation Engine and flags suspicious pages. Blue Lantern Security URL Checker runs every page you open through the Blue Lantern Security URL Detonation Engine and shows you the raw findings right in your toolbar. No risk score, no hand-waving — just the facts the engine observed, so you can judge for yourself. WHAT IT CHECKS • Valid SSL certificate, login-screen detection, and whether the final URL is valid • Back-button hijacking, automatic downloads, and popups • Counts of suspicious network requests, links, and cookies • Redirect hops and where the page actually landed • Domain age, registrar, and suspicious-naming patterns (e.g. typosquatting) HOW IT WORKS 1. On each top-level navigation, the extension detonates the URL and badges the toolbar icon with status only: … scanning, ✓ detonated, × error. 2. Click the icon to see the full, raw findings for the current page. 3. Results are cached per URL, so the same page isn't re-scanned — or re-billed — on every visit. BUILT TO RESPECT YOUR QUOTA • Per-URL caching with a cache window you control • Skips non-web pages, local/private hosts, and (optionally) search-engine result pages • Your own never-scan host list • A local rate guard keeps detonations under your account limit PRIVACY & SECURITY • Bring your own Blue Lantern API key. It's encrypted at rest with AES-GCM behind a non-extractable browser key — only ciphertext is written to local storage. • URLs you visit are sent only to api.bluelanternsecurity.io for analysis, and only while scanning is enabled. Nothing else is collected. No analytics, no trackers. • Turn automatic detonation off any time, or scan pages manually on demand. REQUIREMENTS A Blue Lantern Security account and API key. Create an account at https://bluelanternsecurity.io, then generate a key under API Access → Generate API Key. Each detonation consumes account credits.
