AN ALTERNATIVE TO GMAIL POP FETCH Google is retiring its built-in POP mail fetcher for external accounts in January 2027. The service fetches messages independently and imports them through the Gmail API, without relying on Google's native fetching feature. Moving away from Gmailify? Bring incoming messages from supported external accounts into your main inbox. This is an independent import service, not a restoration of Gmailify or its native features. AUTOMATIC EMAIL SYNC, EVEN WHEN CHROME IS CLOSED Scheduled synchronization runs on the server. Your connected mailboxes continue to be checked when you close the browser or turn off your computer. Plus checks for new mail every 5 minutes. Pro checks every minute. These are scheduled check intervals, not guaranteed delivery times. CONTROL YOUR MAILBOXES FROM CHROME - Connect accounts and update mailbox settings. - Request an on-demand sync when you need to check for new mail. - Pause synchronization and check account activity. - Organize imported messages with per-account labels and selected IMAP folders. - Import messages with their formatting and attachments, within Gmail size limits. Duplicate detection helps avoid importing the same message again. YOUR CUSTOM DOMAIN EMAIL, WITHOUT A MIGRATION Receive business email in Gmail while keeping your domain and current hosting. No forwarding rules, domain transfers, or DNS and MX record changes are required. Connect mailboxes from providers such as IONOS, Hostinger, and cPanel-based hosting through supported POP3 or IMAP access. Google and Microsoft accounts, including supported Outlook and Microsoft 365 mailboxes, can use OAuth sign-in. Compatibility depends on the connection methods your provider enables. GUIDED SETUP 1. Sign in with Google and authorize your destination inbox. 2. Connect your source mailbox using the setup assistant or manual server settings. 3. Choose your labels and sync options, then manage the connection from the extension. The assistant detects supported server settings and tests the connection. Some providers require an app-specific password or additional configuration. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Google sign-in uses OAuth: the service does not receive your Google password. Stored mailbox credentials and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Email content is processed to deliver your messages. Temporary processing copies are removed after processing; the service does not maintain a separate email archive. Connection data and synchronization records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy. You can pause or disconnect mailboxes, revoke Google access, and delete service data. OPTIONAL SMTP SETUP ASSISTANCE Where available, the extension helps complete Gmail's native "Send mail as" setup using tested SMTP settings. Google is retiring this feature for third-party addresses in January 2027. This setup assistant does not replace that native sending feature.
