Read and translate webpages in place with word glosses, inline, split-screen, Hover, Auto, and AutoX modes. Split & Inline Translate translates webpage content directly in the current tab or in a paired window, so you can read the original and translation without losing your place. Choose a target language, select a reading mode from the extension popup or context menu, and translate the page or selected text. SIX READING MODES: Word - annotate difficult words with quick translations and keep the original sentence visible. Inline - place paragraph translations beside the original text for direct comparison. Split - open the original and Google Translate page side by side with synchronized scrolling. Hover - double-click a word or selection to see a translation in a small tooltip without changing the page. Auto - automatically translate eligible English pages in sentence mode as you browse. AutoX - preload an eligible article with vocabulary glosses and sentence context for focused reading. FREE CORE, OPTIONAL PRO: Word, Inline, Split, and Hover are unlimited. New Free profiles get 10 eligible Auto or AutoX page starts per local calendar day. Duplicate pages, rescans, rejected routes, opt-out sites, paused routes, and failed starts do not consume another start. Pro removes the Auto and AutoX daily limit, with one license usable on up to 3 devices. 43 target languages are supported. The first target language follows the Chrome interface language when supported; Vietnamese is the fallback. You can change it at any time. PRIVACY: No account, sign-in, ads, analytics, or telemetry. Preferences and the local quota stay in the browser. Translation requests send the minimum text or URL required by the selected mode to Google translation services. If you activate Pro, the license key and an opaque installation identifier are sent to Lemon Squeezy for activation, validation, and deactivation; page content and browsing history are not sent to the licensing service. LIMITATIONS: Does not work on chrome://, edge://, or other browser-internal pages. Split opens a second browser window and may require pop-ups to be allowed. Word and Auto modes work best on English-language pages.
