Description
After you go idle, a small creature wanders across the page with a real walk cycle. It scampers off the moment you come back. Stop typing for a while and a small, hand-animated character walks onto the page — patrols a bit, stops to look around, sits down, and eventually lies down for a nap. Touch the mouse and it drops dead on the spot, plays out its death animation, and fades away. That is the whole extension. It does not track anything, does not talk to any server, and does not read the page it is standing on. FOUR CHARACTERS • Knight — patrols and stands guard • Dino — pads about and scans the horizon • Robot — has no walk cycle at all, so it runs everywhere • Santa — trudges along on his rounds Each is properly animated, with its own pace: the walk cycle is driven by distance travelled rather than a fixed frame rate, so nobody moonwalks when they speed up. YOURS TO SET • Appears after 30 seconds to 30 minutes of quiet — 2 minutes by default • Any size from a discreet 0.6x up to a ridiculous 6x • Let it fall asleep after a long idle, or not • Switch it off on any site you like • "Show me now" if you do not feel like waiting STAYS OUT OF THE WAY • It cannot be clicked — the overlay ignores the mouse entirely, so it can never block a link or a button • Nothing is added to the page until it appears, and nothing is left behind once it goes • It never appears on a tab you are not looking at • It respects "reduce motion" and stays away entirely • Its own styling is sealed off, so it cannot disturb the page's layout NO DATA, NO ACCOUNTS, NO NETWORK Your settings are the only thing stored, and they are kept by Chrome's own sync so they follow you between your computers. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no sign-in, and no server to send anything to.
