StartSpace replaces your New Tab page with a personal workspace that brings your bookmarks, notes, and tasks together. • Search from one place — Find bookmarks, Markdown notes, and tasks, or search the web with Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or Brave Search. • Keep your favorites close — Access your favorite bookmarks from your homepage. Organize browser bookmarks and folders without leaving StartSpace. • Write in Markdown — Create, edit, preview, and organize notes in a folder on your computer. Import existing Markdown files and keep using them with editors such as VS Code or Obsidian. • Organize your tasks — Track work on a local Kanban board and link tasks to relevant notes and bookmarks. • Back up your workspace — Export and restore your workspace files, settings, and StartSpace metadata. Local by design No StartSpace account, backend, or cloud service is required. Your notes and tasks live in a folder you choose, while your bookmarks remain managed by your browser. Web searches go to your selected search provider. StartSpace is open source and uses ordinary Markdown files, so your notes remain yours to open, edit, and move.
