The transcript is read from the YouTube page you already have open, and the file is saved straight to your computer. Nothing is sent to the developer or to anyone else. The extension runs on youtube.com and nowhere else. SCOPE • Works on standard video watch pages; open a Short on its normal watch page. • Chapters are read from timestamps in the video's description. • Subtitle timings are second-accurate, which suits reading and note-taking. • Where a video carries several subtitle languages, the extension tells you which track it is exporting.
