Captures DOM events and frontend network traffic directly for DAWG bug reporting. DAWG Browser Extension is the browser-capture component of DAWG — Digs Any Web-app Glitch, a local debugging and reproducible bug-reporting tool for developers, QA teams, and technical support teams. When a capture is started from the DAWG desktop application, the extension focuses or opens the requested web application and records only that selected tab. It collects the information needed to understand and visually reproduce a web application problem, including: - DOM snapshots and page changes - Click and form interaction events - Frontend network request URLs, methods, headers, and request bodies - Response status codes and response headers - Timing and session metadata Capture data is sent to the DAWG engine running locally on the same computer through a loopback connection at `127.0.0.1`. The extension does not upload captures to a DAWG-operated cloud service. After recording stops, the local DAWG engine scans the captured information for secrets and personal data, applies redaction and export-policy rules, and packages the sanitized session as a portable `.dawg` artifact. The artifact can then be inspected, exported, replayed in an isolated Chromium environment, or used to verify whether a software fix resolves the recorded problem. The extension remains idle until a capture is requested by the DAWG desktop application. Its popup displays whether recording is active and allows the user to stop the current recording. DAWG Desktop is required. - This extension is a companion component and does not create complete bug-report artifacts by itself.
