Home Maintenance Checklist keeps a running list of the recurring tasks every homeowner needs to stay on top of: chimney sweeping, gutter cleaning, HVAC filter changes, water heater flushing, smoke detector batteries, and dryer vent cleaning. HOW IT WORKS Check off a task when you complete it and enter the date. The extension automatically calculates when it's next due based on typical maintenance intervals (yearly for most tasks, every 3 months for HVAC filters). Each task is color-coded so you can see at a glance what's fine, what's coming up soon, and what's overdue. WHY IT MATTERS A lot of home maintenance problems don't happen because homeowners don't care, they happen because it's easy to lose track of when something was last done.
