Chat with the current webpage using Prism local models Prism Chat is the Chrome side panel for the Prism AI desktop app. Open it on any page to ask questions about what you're reading, summarize long articles, compare content across tabs, or compose drafts. It automatically includes the current page as context. You can also add images, capture screenshots, toggle web search, and pick the model that fits your task — from Prism Hosted and local models to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Ollama, and more. Prism Chat is a companion to the Prism desktop app. It connects to the Prism app running on your machine (default http://localhost:8080) and routes your requests through the providers you’ve already configured there. Your chat history and page content are stored in Chrome local storage and sent to your local Prism instance; the extension does not collect or store your data on its own servers. Gemini Nano is also available in supported Chrome browsers when the local app is not reachable.
